Can you think outside of your 10 Codes? Do you look at an ink blot and see something other than your drill instructor? Do all of your wet dreams that involve a threesome include your Harley? If so, we invite you to share your unique patriotic perspective with us and submit an original design for a silk screen t-shirt contest. If you have a design that would stop someone in their tracks and make them say, “That’s a f’in cool shirt,” then you are the right candidate for this contest.
DESIGN RULES:
- The design has to be your original work product. If your mind didn’t give birth to the design, then we don’t want it.
- The design should include no more than 6 colors. Keep in mind that a shade of the same color counts as a separate color. If your design includes more than 6 colors, we suggest you send it to the circus.
- All designs must be at high resolution (300 dpi). The design can be submitted as a Jpeg, Photoshop CS or Adobe Illustrator CS. If your design causes the viewer to squint, then it would probably be better suited for your bathroom wall.
- We are looking for designs that are either a patriotic, military, law enforcement or biker theme. This does not include nudity, profanity, or racially inappropriate symbols. Any designs submitted with any of these will be used for toilet paper.
- If your design includes text, we ask that it not be vulgar or racially offensive. If you are compelled to use offensive text, we’ll send you a bar of soap to wash the dung out of your mouth.
- In order to ensure that everyone has a fair chance to win, we are limiting each designer to one submission. If you submit more than one entry, the porcelain God will process it.
- You must submit an email with your name, address and phone number, along with your artwork attached to the email, to contest@gruntapparel.com. If you do not supply the info requested your submission will not be considered.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Winners will be selected four times a year. All entries must be received by the last day of each calendar quarter, i.e., March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31. The winner will be announced on the Grunt Apparel website two weeks after the deadline. Scientifically speaking, if you snooze you lose.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Grunt Apparel will review all submissions and select the winners. The selection will be based on design originality and theme. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and in this case, we’re the beholder.
CONTEST PRIZES:
- The winner for each quarter will receive a t-shirt with their winning design. They will also receive a gift certificate from Grunt Apparel for $250. Additionally, their name and winning design will be posted on the Grunt Apparel website.
- The runner-up for each quarter will receive honorable mention on the Grunt Apparel website. They will also receive a Grunt Apparel gift certificate for $50.
SUBMISSION WAIVER:
By submitting a design to Grunt Apparel for this contest, you, the designer, agree to waive all rights to ownership of the submitted design. You further agree that Grunt Apparel may use your design submission in any way they choose and you relinquish all rights to your submitted design.
